Welcome to Bear Hand Customs!
We are three (of five total) brothers, raised in Iowa, that enjoy to craft neat things in our free time. Ian, left-most in the first image, works as an Arborist in Southwest Wisconsin and is a key supplier of wood for the projects you see for sale on our page! Kaleb, middle in the first image, is a Recruiter for the Army National Guard in Central Iowa, but enjoys crafting the wood products that you will find on this page in his free time. Cody is last, but certainly not least! Cody drives semi for a living, and enjoys spending time over his forge in Missouri, handcrafting knives and other bits of metalwork!
Although far apart, we routinely get together to take awesome family photos, as you can tell. It is our goal for this site to provide you with excellent handcrafted products, create lasting impressions with those we interact with, and donate a portion of our proceeds every month to various non-profits around the Midwest to help human, animals and the environment alike.
For a month-by-month list of the non-profits that we support, visit the "Our Tithe" page of this site.

What is our story? Why the logo?
Our grandmother, Nancy, was a 1/4th Native American, but from her looks (long braid of brown hair which eventually greyed with age, weathered skin and dark complexion) you would have thought she was 100%. As children, we often would go to Grandma's house and find ourselves fascinated by the traditional works of art she would create. She would make walking sticks, feather fans, dream catchers, brooches and more. Within her work, you would always find two things. Turquoise stones or beads and a bear claw, like the one on our logo, with a red "N" for Nancy stamped between the pads of paw. As we brothers discussed a logo and name, we all agreed that it was fitting to pay our respects to our amazing grandmother, and commemorate her by taking her image as our own, and modifying it with the first letter of our last name, "M."

We all work full time jobs, and usually overtime. We all act to serve others, whether through sales, conservation and environmentalism, military service or healthcare. But with this site and our small business, we hope to create yet another way to help our communities and those in need by donating 10% of our proceeds to a different local and national non-profit every month. Some from Iowa, Wisconsin, and from Missouri, all of our (now) home states.
We look forward to serving you, and our surrounding communities with every sale. Thank you for stopping by.

Quality is our way.
Bear Hand Customs.
