Cody, the Middle Bear

Cody is the creator of all things metal that you find for sale here at Bear Hand Customs. Cody has a degree in Environmental Science, which fuels his desire to care for the earth and learn more about it as he crafts with metal. 

Cody fell in love with fire at a young age, watching an older cousin pander over the flames creating armor and tools in South-Central Iowa. His motivation only increased after serving a year with Americorp, become a certified Wildland Firefighter, exercising controlled burns for the conservation of land in Cape Cod, MA. 

Upon returning home and finding work near his home in Central Missouri, Cody joined and fights in an Armored Combat League in his free time, which surrounded him with like-minded individuals who encouraged him to follow his passion of creating knives and more! When he isn't at work or working over the forge and anvil, Cody enjoys to spend time with his cat and dog, play video games, and spend time at the lakes and parks around his community.

Cody continues in business with his mentor, Rick, the founder of Iron Wind Forge, as well as Cody continues to grow in experience and stock. Knives featured on our website's gallery are a mix of both Cody and Rick's creation, but only Cody's knives will be sold via the online store.
